Interesting post bearing in mind this story in today on the BBC website about ‘theatre etiquette’ too http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-28191348 I do find the whole etiquette thing idiotic. there do need to be some standards (put your fucking phone AWAY) but these places need to break down barriers and be fun as well as all the other things they’re trying to be. The societal etiquette and frowning that goes alongside it just reinforces many people’s stereotypes of the arts.
